Funding received for initial launch and development
The prestigious SBIR Grant’s Phase I had been awarded to Fathomd in 2016. NSF SBIR/STTR program undergoes a rigorous merit-based review process. The Phase II Award now allows us to develop, refine, and test our prototypes in authentic higher education settings.
National Science Foundation (NSF) Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) Phase II is granted to commercialize innovative technology by conducting research and development (R&D) work on developing web-based interactive educational games focused initially in the Operations Management (OM) area.
“This funding gives us unique opportunity to scale up a robust technology product and better serve our university and corporate customers. It’s a very exciting time for the company. Both our employees and early investors see SBIR funding as the launchpad to Fathomd bringing innovation to education in the U.S. and the world.” said Özalp Özer, Chief Educator of Fathomd.
